Mursley’s Recreation/Playing area is located on the outskirts of the village and contains two full size football pitches as well as a dedicated cricket square and cricket nets.

The area is run by the Mursley Sports Association and a number of Trustees have oversight of it. The MSA’s motto is “Helping the children and residents of Mursley find their place on our playgrounds” and has been going for 60 years.

It has beautifully maintained football and cricket pitches as well as a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) and a Pavilion. Mursley United FC run a number of teams at all aged from Mini-kickers (under 5’s) through to U16’s.

There is a friendly cricket team that also play over the summer on a Sunday against other villages in a friendly atmosphere. There is also a bar at the pavilion when the cricket is on.

Inside the pavilion there is a community lounge with kitchen facilities, and a serving hatch to the outside which is ideal for food and drink to both the football and cricket teams. There are also two full size changing rooms as well as referees’ rooms.
